Ideas for holidays, weekends and trips in Brie Comte Robert and its surroundings

Paris is the capital of France, so is of course one of the best places in the world for culture and heritage, and the suburbs make up an important part of what makes Paris a stunning city. Brie-Comte-Robert is situated to the south-east of Paris, and is a beautiful town with its own special feel. One of the things to see here is the Saint- Étienne church, which dates from the 12th century, and hosts a concert series, partly to take full advantage of its fantastic organ. The Vieux Chateau is another impressive piece of architecture, and was home to Count Robert I of Dreux, from whom the chateau gets its name. Today, it houses a heritage centre, which shows visitors the history of the chateau from its construction in the 12th century to today. If it's a warm day, why not visit the Parc François-Mitterrand? Its 25 hectares give you plenty of space for an amble, or even a jog, and there are three other parks to discover in town too. The journey from Brie-Comte-Robert to Paris takes about 40 minutes by car, and in that time you can be planning what do whilst you're there, whether it be visiting a museum, seeing a show or a concert, finding a good place to try Parisian delicacies, or simply finding your way around a new arrondissement. There's plenty to do in this area of France, so whatever you decide to do the Campanile Brie Comte Robert will make sure you have a fantastic time!
